Lawyer: We are seeking one associate lawyer for civil litigation and another for  corporate and commercial law.

The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple discipline litigation.  You will be a confident and accomplished advocate, with sound judgment, excellent file management skills, and the ability to work effectively with others, both inside and outside the firm.

Cheadles is recognized as one of Northwestern Ontario's top litigation and commercial firms.  The current opportunities will appeal to lawyers looking for interesting work, and the chance to build your skill set and practice.

Applications should be submitted, in confidence, to Donald B. Shanks, LL.M., Partner for Associate Development (807.622.6821 or shanksd@cheadles.com).

Staff: We are looking for a family law clerk with 2-3 years experience.  You will be involved from beginning to end, including meeting prospective clients, organizing and maintaining status on all major cases, liaising with outside council as well as members of the firm.

Please apply with resume and cover letter to Bill Shanks via email  to shanksw@cheadles.com

Staff:

We currently have an opening in our firm for a full time law clerk.  We are seeking someone with experience using both the Legal Aid Ontario billing system as well as PCLaw.  The ideal candidate should also have at least 2 years experience managing criminal files.

The candidate would also be responsible for assisting with our residential school files - mainly opening files, ordering documents and following up on document requests.  Extensive experience with Microsoft Access and Outlook is a must.

Applicants should apply by email to svance@richardcourtis.com.  A cover letter, resume and references should be provided.  Application deadline is March 12, 2010 and tentative start date would be April 4, 2010.
